    3. I got very detailed information on births, family dwelling, education, parentage etc for ancestors who were church and school patrons from 1843-1854. They could not copy these records but they did an extract AND translated the information for me. Three generations of information during this time frame was a gold mine for me. Have you ever used it and if so, what wer the results? It says it is the University of Notre Dame at http://classic.archives.nd.edu/findaids/ead/default.htm In Indiana. 3. That is wonderful! Who in particular did you write to? Did you use e-mail or the snail mail? How much information did you give them to produce this for you? I put in Frenchtown and it brought up several things I want checked as several of my ancestors lived there - during that time you state, in fact. Thank you! 3. I e-mailed (this was in 1999) Notre Dame Archives [email protected] with a reference I had, that one of the children had attended Notre Dame. I supplied the name and dates. They responded in an e-mail with the information. The family lived in South Bend, Sacred Heart Parish at the time.
