I have hit my brickwall - when and where my parents (Lucille Mary Jane Joyce or Lucille Mary Jane Perry, or Lucille Joyce Perry married Willson Dorr Bradley) were married. In the time period 1932-1935 my dad was living in Kenosha, WI. When I contacted Madison, WI, I was told that the marriage had not taken place in Kenosha. My question is whether I have to search each county/town or would Madison have meant that they were not married anywhere in Wisconsin ? Appreciate any directions, thanks, Janet Bradley Brosius
Each county is required to file a copy with the state. The State has all the index records in books. It is a statewide index by year. The next time I am there searching, I could check those years for you. The state is so expensive for a search. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janet Brosius" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 18, 2003 11:51 PM Subject: [GenWisc] Marriages in 1930's > I have hit my brickwall - when and where my parents (Lucille Mary Jane Joyce or Lucille Mary Jane Perry, or Lucille Joyce Perry married Willson Dorr Bradley) were married. HI Just a thought, you might try Lake County, IL. Kenosha rests just west of Lake County. Lake County, Courthouse is in the Town of Waukegan. You might give them a call and see if there is a record there.
