Citrus Punch Delamater/D'Lamatter/Delamter Van Cleave Owen (NY) Ahrendt Myron
I am interested in the DELAMATER surname. Would you have a Ellen Jane DELAMATER, daughter of Peter and Hannah Delamater? Ellen Jane was married and divorced before marrying my great grandfather Emery Lyon GOODRICH in 1881 at Bradford WI. They had a son, name unknown, born 1883 in Sioux City IA. The son did not show on the 1885 Iowa state census and I would like to know what became of him. Ellen Jane had three children from her first marriage, Effie, Charles and Mary, born 1875, 1877 and 1879. I believe she may have returned to Wisconsin after the death of husband Emery. The son may have been with her then, I don't know. This is a big riddle for me. Any help appreciated. Thank you. In case you haven't been able to find Bradford in Wisconsin, I can tell you it is in Rock County. It's actually a township -- I don't believe there was ever a town by that name. I lived there in the 50s. Lynne Bliss Pat Behrens wrote: >I am interested in the DELAMATER surname. Would you have a Ellen Jane >DELAMATER, daughter of Peter and Hannah Delamater? Hello Pat from Iowa, Firstly, I apologize for taking so long to respond. I have been overwhelmed, as of late. Secondly, do you have any dates for Ellen? My guess is that she went by a middle name, or a nickname. I have listed below some of what I have found on Ancestry.com. I would also like to forward your query to Mr. Phil Delamarter, who has written the latest genealogical survey of this family. I will NOT do so without your permission, however. I would love to continue to share information. The Wisconsin Delamater's are some of the most elusive to track down, but I am working on it! Best to you cousin, Linda D'Lamatter Killian PS: Note all of the variations on the DELAMATER surname? Jim, which Killian family do you come from? Hi Paula, I will answer for my husband, Jim. His Killian family comes from Pittsburgh, PA. He is second generation American, from both sides of his family. The Killian was adopted or given at Ellis Island, depending on who you ask. It originally was a Polish name with few vowels, I guess you could call it Americanized! Thanks for asking, Linda D'Lamatter Killian ----- Original Message ----- From: "PAULA VOLP" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 31, 2003 8:56 AM Subject: Re: [GenWisc] Surnames > Jim, which Killian family do you come from? > > Paula Killian Volp > --- jimlindakillian <[email protected]> wrote: > > Citrus Punch > > > > Delamater/D'Lamatter/Delamter > > Van Cleave > > Owen (NY) > > Ahrendt > > Myron > > > > > > > > > > > > ==== GenWisconsin Mailing List ==== > > Mailing list moderator: Brenda K.
