As in most States, you'll probably have to search each County separately. If Madison (a city) said the marriage hadn't taken place in Kenosha (another city)...do they have a state marriage listing as Kenosha is in Kenosha County, Madison is in Dane. Contact Madison again and ask them why they told you that and ask if you have to go to Kenosha Co. Very, very few have marriage indices online. Ron Bestrom
