Not sure about WI but most divorce papers are with the county that the divorce took place. Some state archives also keep divorce papers. Not sure on the county. I the marriage application for my grandparents, my grandfather only says that he was married before and that it ended in divorce in Wisconsin. The reason stated was cruelty.
