Hi Sally. 1) I have 8 mm. and 16 mm. movies from the 1950's and '60's. They've been in boxes and moved around from state to state, and attic to basement over to years. Of course, now I know better, but.... Someday, they may get transferred to CD/DVD. In the meantime, what is the best way to keep them safe? 2) I keep a Family Tree Maker disc in a small fire proof safe in my closet (and another one off-site) along with several family group sheets on acid-free paper. What are the chances of those surviving a devastating home fire? The safe is the best rated for home fires, how ever they are rated (???). Thank you.
