You wrote, "Reached a brick wall in my search for Margaret Nelson, nee Tallaksen Margaret/Margrete Tallaksen was born 20 April 1853; parents Salve Talaksen and Berthe Halvorsdtr. She lived with her parents in Port Washington Ozaukee County until her marriage in 1874 to Ole Nelson (1851-1923). Margaret & Ole next appear in the 1880 US census, running a boarding house in Northfield, Rice County, MN. I do not know if the couple remained in MN, came back to WI or moved farther west. In 1920 Ole reappears alone in St.Paul MN, he died in 1923 as a widower" Was Margaret also known as Bertha Marie b. 1852. She is the right age and only daughter that I see of Salve Tallaksen who is the same age as the Margaret that I see with Ole Nelson in 1880. If they are the same person, she died in 1886.
