There was a whole series of books written about individual county histories in 1881. I have one of Layfayette co. That I bought from E-Bay auction, it`s an original and not a copy, cost me $100.05, but It is full of info and names. Theres another listed on e-Bay in history books and it is the same book publisher for a northern county.
