Cathy: I've been meaning to do this for some time, and keep forgetting to. But this book, History of Northern Wisconsin, IS being reprinted by Higginson Books! Here's the web page link to all the other old books they are republishing about Wisconsin: http://www.higginsonbooks.com/vttowy.htm#wisconsin I don't know if the reprints have all the pictures/plates of the originals, and sometimes they'll be in smaller typeset -- maybe even a better one ::grin:: The books are sort of pricey, especially the large ones, but considering what you'd pay for a *real* original volume of any of those books, Higginson is a bargain. Even in non-pristine condition, original books like these sell for *hundreds* of dollars from book dealers, IF you can find one. deb - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - deb Christensen (deb_msn@msn.com) Graphics Connection Forum http://www.computingcentral.com/topics/graphics/ ----- Original Message ----- From: <CKubly9527@aol.com> To: <GenWisconsin-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 22, 2000 2:51 AM Subject: [GenWisconsin] Re: Hx N WI Books > In a message dated 07/20/2000 5:01:38 PM Central Daylight Time, > steinv@online.no writes: > > << What kind of book is this and how to get it? > These volumes were published in 1881 and I haven't seen any for sale.
