I think Cathy is doing a great job!! There is one thing we must all remember, that back then biographies were written by the families and submitted for publication in the books. If a family submitted nothing, there was nothing. Also, as I have found in two different biographies submitted by my grandfather years ago, he lied, because his father was illegitimate. I often offer to do lookups in biographical books, sometimes when I do not find anything after checking several variables in name spelling and write and tell the people so, I get letters back almost accusing me of lying, because they knew for a fact that their relative lived in that county. It almost turns me off from offering my lookups, but I trudge on and when I have books from different areas, I do offer lookups. Margit in Minnesota
