I've found a tremendous difference in the quality of the OCR end results depending on which software I use. I use Omni Page Pro now, and haven't looked back twice. Yes, the old typefaces cause fits with it at times, but it is pretty smart and the auto edit/correction sequencing is just easy as can be to use. So far, I find it faster for bulk processing of multiple pages -- but if I need to just grab one page, it's just easier to type it. OK, we return everyone to their regularly scheduled mail list about Wisconsin, and not OCR software. :) deb - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - deb Christensen (deb_msn@msn.com) Graphics Connection Forum http://www.computingcentral.com/topics/graphics/ ----- Original Message ----- From: <CKubly9527@aol.com> To: <GenWisconsin-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 05, 2000 2:53 PM Subject: [GenWisconsin] Re: Warm Fuzzy > In a message dated 07/05/2000 3:45:17 PM Central Daylight Time, deb@dm.net > writes: > << a big warm fuzzy for scanning and putting online all the bios out of these > old > history books -- I have a few old books, which I am attempting to scan in, > too, and > it's a good deal more time consuming than I thought it would be to begin > with. >> > > Scanning in?
