Hi Thought I would share that in a Adams County History Book entitled From Past to Present A History of Adams County. This book was published 1999 by the Adams Historical Society. There is only one mention of a Davis surname. And all it says is: In 1847, Ephraim and L:ucinda Hecocks came up the Pinery Road and squatted on the land near the town line and built what has been called the first frame house in Dell Prairie town. The DAVIS family then came along, settled a few miles west of Jordan Lake and gave their name to the junction of pinery road and four other trails__Davis Corners In this book there is also mention of Davis Corners Methodist Church. Also a Davis Corners School. Well thats about it. Thought I would share.
