I mention that only because anytime I have trouble one of the above is what the "computer elite" is the first to blame..... AOL, Bill Gates & microsoft, then Gateway, in that order..... I have Java capability, (No netscape) and can roam anywhere, and when problems arise, I fire off an Email to one or more of the above and it is always resolved... (Unfortunately, 90% of the problems are *me* ) and there is nothing the "big three" can do about that except slowly educate me, and they are working on it..... As far as Java...... When I had my 486, there was plenty of places I couldn't go on the web... But that is the way of the world... I can't take my bicycle on the interstate by law, nor does one complain that a shetland pony can't win the Kentucky Derby.... Two days after I got my "Fancy" Pentium ll, the Pentium lll was released, and now there are sites advertised for those owners.... what I am saying is..... time to update if I want to go to Pentium lll sites.... I already updated to go to Java...... By the way, I remember my 486 having something called a "Java disable" check and see if you have that, perhaps it is just a matter of turning something on.......
