    3. I know of at least one case where this occurred along ethnic lines as well. In the 1860s-80s there was a relocation of a group of French-Canadian families to Waterville Twp., Pepin Co., WI. This group of families had intermarried in Quebec, then moved to upstate NY, and then finally to Pepin Co. My gr gr grandparents were among this group; Leonard and Julia (nee LAPINE/LAPEAN) PATNODE.
