Still looking for Gjermos somewhere in Wisconsin!! > I'm optimistic...we're finally getting rain here in Tampa!! Marcia I CAN........ I have a old map... Let's see if I can describe it to you.. The Lat is 423833N The Long. is 0891840W Springvalley was established 4 June 1846 Springvalley was discontinued 27 July 1866 If you look at a map of ROCK county.. Do you see Ordfordville, that is near the boarder of Green and Rock counties? Springvalley was just above Ordfordville. Janesville, the county seat is in the middle of the county, if you will go west from Janesville, almost to the boarder of Green county you will see Magnolia, below Magnolia is where Springvalley once was, below Springvalley you will see Ordfordville and below Ordford- ville you will see Avon. I had family there, my 3rd gr grandmother Lucinda (BUNTING) DIMICK was buried there 8 April 1870, along with three of her children, Jesse b there 30 May 1856 buried there 13 oct 1861, John L. born there 22 Sep 1862 buried there 22 Nov 1872 and Charles born there 7 Dec 1866 buried there 30 March 1867.. I wish I could find them. Lucinda's husband was Rollin Hugh DIMICK perhaps spelled DIMMOCK OR DIMMICK. Hope I haven't confused you more..in looking for Spring Valley.
