    3. I can't find the details on the following-free or otherwise; "In January 2003, Mr. Gold, together with Michael Fox, tried a federal age discrimination lawsuit, in the Western District of Wisconsin entitled Robert Hohert vs. Weir Slurry Group, which resulted in a $432,000 jury verdict for lost back wages and willful ADEA violations. Mr. Hohert also recovered statutory attorney's fees and lost front pay as of the overall post-trial settlement." They generally don't put anything on your card for a while... then they charge a wide screen TV, a massage and beauty day, new rims for a car all in one day... or like a friend of mine had happen... the down payment on a new car, that then is never paid for and the collectors keep trying to get her to make payments on a car she never had a thing to do with... Cancel that card... they will issue you a new number... but it is a lot easier to do BEFORE all the charges are made. If they are a legitimate company, they will get back to you on that card being canceled.

    3. If you are nervous about making a purchase from a vendor you don't know, it's possible to get a one day credit card number from your usual credit card. It's handy for a web purchase especially, when you don't know if the vendor has a credit history, or if they even have a street address or storefront real - space retail establishment, or feel uncomfortable yourself letting a stranger have access to your credit. John, you can always call your credit card company to ask if anything is known about the site http://www.wiwd.uscourts.gov/ I just tried accessing it and got a message saying currently unavailable. Perhaps call and ask if it's possible to cancel the transaction as they aren't performing the service you paid for. Also, in paying for things online, E-Bay uses Pay Pal, and it can be used by other sites as well. More secure by repute than giving up your own credit info. 3. Hi Sue, It depends on the county as to where the records may be. Some counties keep their records in off-site storage, making an appointment necessary to be able to see them. Winnebago has released divorce records to the Oshkosh Public Library - some may be kept in the archived of the Area Research Centers - like Brown County and Oconto County at Cofrin Library, Green Bay. Not to say that the state doesn't have copies. These just happen to be places I have found records. I believe that the year when records can be removed from the courts 'files' varies with the kind of case. Where they may have been traditionally destroyed after 75 years, the courthouse (I believe) is now required to first offer them to local genealogical or historical organizations. So you may even have luck in some places and time periods, looking for what a local historical society has in its archives. Without knowing the county, you will be spending more time hunting. LDS does have a microfiche that has some divorce index records for Wisconsin. I am not sure if it goes back that far, though. Good Luck!
