    1. If you are having trouble with AOL spam filters catching rootsweb....
    2. the absolute easiest way to fix it is to copy the email address and put it in you address book. Then it is clear to go... I don't consider this a problem, I consider this a protection from the flood of unwanted mail.

If you are not receiving emails, rootsweb rules ask that you not "test", if there is a server problem so many would be "testing", it could cause further problems. If you aren't getting postings go to the rootsweb helpdesk site at http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com and you will read that there was a problem with AOL service. (This is ALWAYS a problem with AOL service). This last week MSN.com had a problem. So try the help desk first. Ron Bestrom

    3. Loretta, I have a lot of those boxes - my own old unidentified ones included - of my parents and grandparents. Some are written on, but many are not. My cousin, she knows who she is <g> out there, took some of Nanna's albums last year and made a flip album cd for me and now that my computer is fixed I can go through them. So those are safely taken care of. If only I could get my brain and computer wrapped around the scanner and other items to get the work done on my own things! There is so much work to do and I need to get at it! :-) Happy Holidays everyone!
