Hi All, If any of these names ring any bells, please let me know. They were victims of the sinking of the Norge 28 June 1904 (and a few survivors). Trying to find people in the U. S. who were/are related to them, for an upcoming book being written in Norway, whose author has sought my help in locating relatives of the victims. Numbers after names are ages. Very grateful for any possible connections to these names. Please feel free to pass this plea for help on to other lists. Joan: Janesville and Beloit are in Rock county. Elkhorn is in Walworth. Some counties charge for a search. Birth records are $12. in WI. Property records would be found at the court house in Elkhorn or possibly stored at the annex. Rock county records would be either at the court house 51 S Main or at the Rock Co Historical Society located on the corner of N Jackson and Mineral Point in Janesville. Hope this is helpful. Hi, need some help in the above areas. First of all, are they all near each other and are they in the same county? Secondly, where would I find Birth records for Janesville and Beloit? Third, where would I find old property records for Elkhorn and the other two places? My uncle and aunt were supposedly born in either Janesville and/or Beloit, does anyone know how much it costs for a birth search or could some kind hearted soul check for me, so I don't lose money on the wrong place. Same goes for the property in Elkhorn. The names for Janesville and Beloit are EXILDA MARIE or MARIE EXILDA BEAUSEJOUR, born in 1884 (sorry no month or date on her) and WILLIAM J. BEAUSEJOUR, born 26 Apr 1888. Owners of farm in Elkhorn were: ANTOINE B. BEAUSEJOUR and JOSEPH BEAUSEJOUR, (probably early 1800's to mid-1800's). They were originally from the Montreal, Canada area and ended up in the NOTRE DAME CHURCH area in Chicago, Cook Co., IL.. Any help would be most appreciated, I've gotten such a head-ache from "bouncing my head against that proverbial BrickWall". Many thanks in advance..............Joan aka pattimm@mindspring.com
