Yes, you can go to the FTM Website and on their webpage there is a spot that allows you to request the submitter for the tree. The only thing is that the address given will be the one they lived at when they submitted the tree and in my experience which has been three times...The person no longer lived there. I wish you better luck on yours.

They have a form to fill out for the Tree No. as well as the CD No. I received information within a few days when I requested submitter info. Candy

Remember there is a branch of the National Archives in Chicago. http://www.nara.gov/genealogy/ http://www.nara.gov/regional/public/chipubli.html#genealogy It appears the microforms reading machines need to be reserved by phone before you visit. If you are using archival materials, you need to obtain a researcher ID card, which is obtained in person during your visit. For some on-line finding aids... http://www.nara.gov/regional/findaids/chicfind.html http://www.nara.gov/regional/chicago.html http://www.nara.gov/regional/facility/chifacil.html http://www.nara.gov/regional/public/chipubli.html > > Does anyone know the name and location of the genealogy in Chicago?
You are probably thinking of the Newberry Library. http://www.newberry.org/ However there are many libraries in the Chicago Land Area, this list includes all of Illinois. But you would want to check the IRAD also. http://www.CyndisList.com/il.htm#Libraries As with any library, notice the hours they are open and if the card catalog is on-line, which most are... Have the card catalog searched while you are at home and save precious time for research in the area. > Does anyone know the name and location of the genealogy in Chicago? I
Thank you. You've been very helpful. Joan
Does anyone know if public libraries in Wisconsin will be open Monday, July 3? I'm specifically hoping to visit Green Bay and Sheboygan. Thank you, Bonnie H. Laguna Beach, Calif.
Hi All, I will be visiting Wisconsin shortly and hope to be looking at the old church books at a couple of churches. Does anyone know if it is (expected?), (required?), (appropriate?), (just courtesy?), etc. to give a donation to the church for allowing me to look at their old records? If so, about how much is appropriate? Has anyone done this? Thanks so much for your help. Bonnie H Laguna Beach, California
Thanks a lot. I was thinking of the Newberry Library. I will check into it right away. Thanks again Joan
Does anyone know the name and location of the genealogy in Chicago? I am going there in a couple of months and I would like to visit it if I can. Thanks Joan
