    3. Not only is it standard practice, it also makes scanning emails much more effective. You wouldn't want to miss a potential cousin because the name was too difficult to see, would you? In response to: <<Dear Listers: Please follow accepted genealogical practice and put all SURNAMES in capital letters. Thanks, Blanche Chicago>>

    1. [GenWisconsin] Kelly Brothers of Baraboo
    2. Hi List, Just found out from Audrey at the historical society through an obit for my gg Grandfather, Fred Kelly, that he "was the last of the 7 Kelly brothers". Fred lived and died in Kendall, Monroe County for half his life, the first half was spent in Baraboo, Sauk County. Does anyone know what the names of the other 6 "Kelly brothers" were or have any info on the parents-John and Jane (Barbara Jane)? The obit states he was survived by Step-brothers John, Arthur and Abe Sutcliffe. I've heard mention of that name during conversations with my family but nobody seemed to know the connection. It seems that John and Jane must have split and John remarried a woman named Sutcliffe (this must have been her second marriage too). I don't know her first name or anything else about her. Can anyone help?? Thanks, Sue

    3. Pat, If you weren't aware, Ogema is in southern Price county. The little I remember of these towns, the Johnson's and Flinks were there before almost any other white settlers to be there in the 1880's. There are several historical societies and museums you could write to for help, I think in Park Falls, northernmost, and Fifield, and Phillips, county seat. Or I think you can go into Ancestry.com and those databases are free for a few days.

    1. [GenWisconsin] Re: Microfiche/microfilm readers..
    2. Rollie Littlewood
    3. Regarding the possibility of taking microfilm or microfiche (that you have borrowed) home to read on your own reader: I believe all Family History Centers enforce their rule that you must do your research on site. The normal rule for Interlibrary Loan is that you must not remove the microfilm or microfiche from the library which obtained it for you. This may not always be enforced by the borrowing library, but it certainly is what is expected by most, if not all, libraries which lend film via Interlibrary Loan. Borrowing film "on your own" is a different matter. For example, I think you can borrow film directly from AGLL/Heritage Quest, without going through a library. I have never done this myself--can any list member confirm (or deny) this possibility? Rollie
