Janice I show husband as Alvin Jones. When you enter info do it this way: 20 Oct 1861 0494 You don't need to put in the last name Debbie

Just be careful -- because sometimes you get back more than two people and then you have to go by the sequence numbers, or "by gosh and by golly." Happy spouse hunting! Norma Jean
This is a great database. I was able to find several of the people I have been looking for. However, a word of caution, the database does not contain all the counties in Wisconsin. As the description says, " The entries for Racine County are incomplete, and all counties following Racine in alphabetical order are not included in this index." Unfortunately, several of the people I am looking for would have probably been married in Vernon County. Roland
I too was only able to find the husband and not the wife, then I just entered the date and county only and there they were. I think we have to remember someone had to transcribe these entries and they are not always easy to read. I know I have received a few. The wives names were misspelled. I had tried different spelling for their names when searching but never would have tried the spellings I found them under. Palmatier was recorded as Palmateen Breen as Brum Don't give up. Hello, To find out who your family member married search for the date and County abbreviation. With any luck by process of elimination you can find what your looking for. Sue

Hi Leanne, I'm wondering if you could please tell me the complete URL address. For some unknown reason, everytime I log onto ancestry.com 's page the program crashes. But when I use the complete URL it is always OK. How strange. Thank you ever so much Melville >Hello fellow relative hunters! > I'm in a great mood. GREAT, Leanne Maybe I will find mine too, been looking for years.
Hi Leanne, I have been searching ancestry.com for this index and have not found it. What am I doing wrong? Thank You, Christina
