    1. RE: [GenWisc] St Croix vs Chippewa Falls
    2. In Polk County there is a city named St. Croix Falls. Muriel Pfeifer -----Original Message----- Date: Tue 02/25/03 11:49 AM From: Karen Miller <[email protected]> To: [email protected] CC: Subject: [GenWisc] St Croix vs Chippewa Falls Does anyone know the relationship between St Croix and Chippewa Falls? For instance, I know there is a St. Croix county, but there also seems to be something else within Chippewa Falls also named St. Croix. So where would my Baptist LaSart be if he was in St. Croix in 1836 - I believe in a hotel there, arriving later at Chippewa Falls? Was the 1836 in St Croix or Chippewa Falls? What church records cover this, I wonder? Thanks again. Karen ==== GenWisconsin Mailing List ==== Mailing list moderator: Brenda K. 3. MSN recently has had SIGNIFICANT problems in delivering email received from Rootsweb (among other places) since about February 20. I am only tonight starting to receive emails from the mailing list again. I will be checking the archives for emails addressed to the list as a whole. HOWEVER, if you sent an email DIRECTLY addressed to me since February 20, it appears to be lost in MSN limbo also, and those emails will need to be resent to me. Also, if you have written ANYONE with an MSN address and have not received a reply, you may want to check to make sure they even received your first email due to the major problems with MSN email delivery. 1. [GenWisc] Archdiocese of Detroit?
    2. Karen Miller
    3. Thanks to all who have helped me with this. Now another question. Where is the Archdiocese of Detroit's Archives? Do they have a web site? This would be for records beginning in 1833 covering Wisconsin. Thanks Karen Baltimore 1789 ---- Bardstown > Louisville 1808 ---------- Cincinnati 1821 ---------------- Detroit 1833 ---------------------- Milwaukee 1843 ---------------------------- La Crosse 1868 ---------------------------- Green Bay 1868 So up to 1867 all of Wisconsin would have been part of the Milwaukee diocese.

    3. 1910 Census, Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Resided at 1063 Milwaukee Ave. SD1, ED777, Ward 17. Alekasander Trepanowski, age 21, boarder, single, born in Russia, parents born in Russia, language - Polish, came to US 1905, occupation: typesetter. The index on genealogy.com shows Aleksander, but looking at the census record the name looks like Alekasander. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
