    2. I ran across the following information from "Roster of S.C. Patriots in the American Revolution" by Bobby Gilmer Moss, pub. GPC 1983. There are ref. to where the information came from after each abstract, but I didn't realize at the time that I needed to also copy the page these sources were listed . Anyway here is the info. . . pg. 350 GENTRY, Cain - Served in militia under Capt. Dawson during 1781-1782. A.A.2758; O434. GENTRY, Elijah - Served as private and sergeant in the militia. A.A.2759; U654; U653. GENTRY, John - Served in militia after the fall of Charleston. A.A.2760; U653. GENTRY, Richard - #W8844; BLWt26713-160-55 b. 27 Dec 1755 Lunenburg Co.,VA m. Justina (Gestin) Hedgepath. He served under Capt. Vardry McBee, Cols. James Cottton, Sevier and Roebuck. After serving 6 mo in 1780, he was disch. after the battle of Kings Mountain. In addition he was in the siege of 96 and guarded baggage during battles at Kings Mtn & Cowpens. (Moved to KY) X1099. GENTRY, Simon - Served as sergeant in militia after the fall of Charleston.
