    1. Re: Allen Gentry Sr. of SW MO
    2. Bookout
    3. Hi Pam- There is ANOTHER Allen Gentry in the 1830 TN census-Allen D. Gentry, of Monroe County. Allen D. was b abt 1791 in VA, the s/o Meshack Gentry. Allen D. was married 1st to Nancy Gentry (his cousin) and 2nd to Susan Ivey. He had 9 ch with Nancy between 1810 and 1834-Pleasant, David, James Riley, John A., Nancy V., Benjamin Franklin, Mary W.,Sarah Margaret, and Malinda Jane. He had 4 ch with Susan between 1838 and 1845-Emeline, Wm.H.H., Pinkney Burton (my great great grandfather), and Arabecca. Allen D. Gentry lived in Monroe County TN after 1810, and died there 18 Aug 1853. To the best of my knowledge, my TN Gentrys are not linked to the SC Gentrys. My line seems to have travelled from VA>NC>TN. Wish I could help you with YOUR Allen!
