I am descended through two Carroll Co MO brothers, Robert and Benajah. Follow closely, or you will be as confused as I used to be. Robert and Benajah were sons of Nicholas III and wife Sarah DICKENS, he being son Nicholas II, he being son of Nicholas the immigrant. Robert m. Julia SIMPSOM, dau of Elizah, 3 Mar 1806 in Adair Co, KY. Benajah m. Rachel PHILLIPS, 19 Apr 1809, probably in Adair Co KY. (Benajah had first wife, Jemima, sister of Julia SIMPSON) I don't have as much on Benajah, as I do on Robert, but it would seem Robert may have lived in Madison Co IL, for a short time, before going to Carroll Co MO. His daughter, Sarah Dickens GENTRY m William Jackson STEWART in 1833 in Madison Co, also daughter, Permelia GENTRY m William HANEY in 1831 in Madison Co. Does anybody have any knowledge of this? Here comes the tricky part. Robert and Julia had daughter, Micah "Mickey" Elvira GENTRY, who m. Alfred T. COOPER. COOPERs had daughter, Micah "Mickey" Elvira COOPER, who m.
