    1. Re: Roll Call
    2. This isn't really very straightforward - but will give it a shot. My Gr. Gr. Grandmother was married twice - first to a GENTRY (the FEW details I have will follow) and then to a Brooks, which is the line from which I descend. However, since the children from her first marriage are half-sisters to my grandmother, I very much want more information on her first husband ... (make sense, I hope????) Anyway, here is the very very very little bit of information I have: Mary Elizabeth Sherrill - b May 7, 1850 in Missouri (no idea where in Missouri), d May 25, 1923 in E. St. Louis (St. Clair Co.), IL She married George Gentry somewhere around 1869. All their children were born in Missouri. Their children were: Rose Ellen Gentry - b ca 1869 Rachel S. Gentry - b ca 1870 m HONAY Margaret E. Gentry - b ca 1872, d 1953, m 1) HARRIS 2) GRAHAM Dorries Hentietta Gentry - b May 22, 1874 in Iron City, Iron Co., MO, d May 25, 1958 in Cornwall Ct, m John W. BERNER Minnie B. Gentry - b ca 1877, d February 26, 1972, m 1) J. S. CONWAY 2) Claude E. TALLEY Mary Elizabeth (Sherrill) Gentry appears in the 1880 Reynolds Co., MO census ... as a widow, and with the above listed children. If the data in the census listing is correct, it lists these childrens' father as being born in TN. On January 2, 1881, she married my Gr. Gr. Grandfather, David Alxander Brooks. There were 6 children from this marriage, one of whom was my grandmother, Hallie Brooks. The girls all stayed in touch for the most part, and I have a bit of information on them (with the exception of Rose Ellen and Rachel S.) ... but know nothing about George Gentry or the two girls mentioned in the previous sentence. Can anyone help????? Thanks! Cathie
