I just recently discovered my Gentry roots, last week of Sept '98 to be exact, and would like to know more plus clear up some confusion on what I do know. Here's what I THINK I know: -Nathaniel HAGGARD (21 Nov, 1723 VA-21 Aug, 1806 Clark CO, KY) m bef 1745 Elizabeth GENTRY (14 Aug, 1731 VA-28 Jul, 1820 Clark CO, KY) -dau of Nicholas GENTRY (Albermarle CO, VA-ca 1777) m ?? -son of Nicholas GENTRY (1680 VA-?) m ?? -son of Nicholas GENTRY (1655-1710) m ca 1684 Lucy CORNELIUS (1660/1674-?) Nathaniel H-son of James HAGGARD (ca 1678 Eng-VA?) m 1698/1722 VA? Elizabeth GENTRY (26 Aug, 1687 VA-VA?) -dau of Nicholas GENTRY and Lucy CORNELIUS (per above) I understand that a son of Nathaniel and ELizabeth, James HAGGARD, also married Elizabeth GENTRY & a daughter, Jane, m David GENTRY. I am descended from Bartlett HAGGARD, son of Nathaniel & Elizabeth, proven by will records in Clark CO, KY. Can anyone straighten me out on some of this? And/or correct or prove? And/or elaborate?
