Janet, Sorry for the delay in responding to your 11-4 query. My husband is another of the descendants of Tyree Gentry. He belongs to Mildred Clark Gentry that married James Ward. They had a son James F. Ward. We have never noted a middle initial for the elder James in any of his papers. The township is called Antoine. Mildred's middle name is said to be from her mother's family, but I have no documentation. One of William Gentry's sons was named Richard Clark Gentry, which is recorded in a Bible record. I have noted a Tyree Gentry in Lawrence County AR Territory in 1820, a James Ward is there also. (Morgan's Reconstructed 1820 Census) Tyree is listed at least twice more in Lawrence County on Tax lists, one in the late1830's. It might be helpful to see if this Tyree owned property there, if it is the same man, might indicate relatives there. MARTHA PATTY GENTRY m WILLIAM SALYERS, according to World Family Tree #12: William Salyers died 7 Aug 1849 in Saline County AR. Record of this should be in Will Book A-1 p. 140. Children: William J., Washington, Milla Jane, Derinda, Cordelia, Sarah Ann P., Samuel, King P., WFT has all the children born in Saline County but I know from court records that William Salyers was still in Clark County AR through at least 1833, so at least the 1st 3 children were born there. He and WILLIAM CORNELIUS (another of my husband's direct line groups in Clark County AR) must have filed charges against each other--the record is the State v William Cornelius and the State v William Saliers alias Salyers.
