So, I've made a little progress. (Thanks to the kindness of others) I've found Valentine White Gentry's grave in Stanford, KY He is buried in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, section 6E,and and someone was kind enough to take and sent me a picture of his headstone. Still trying to prove that he was my great great grandfather and was the father of Vivian Costello Gentry born about 1886 in Kentucky. The family always said he was and various descendants in the other Gentry lines have said that they remember an "Aunt Vivian" that lived in California. However, none of that is proof which I'd really like to see -- I've requested all the newspaper microfilm from the STanford newspapers for the time of Valentine's death and hope against hope that there is an obit that mentions Vivian. I have been unable to locate a will for Valentine or a birth certificate for Vivian. Any one have any ideas?????
