Thank you, Barbara eor@saber.net The two sons of James were 1--Sylvanes who married Malvina Catron she was born 1822 in Mo... she was the daughter of Jacob Cattron /Kettenring 2--wasJesse Sutton I notice Jesse in the land patents in Mo....there are seven pages of Sutton in the land patents and 23 pages of Lees only James Lee in 1857 in Wayne from Jackson Co 7pages of Underwoods one was Issac Underwood living in Wayne and a Sarah A in Wayne and William R Underwood land patent in 1897 Those records were Knox Co Tn marriage records ....I am trying to find anything that will put me onto which Lees these are.....at this point I am zeroing in on Major Lea ....I found info where William Lee was born 1796 in Knox Co Tn.... Notes 1---I have found where his daughter Martha married twice once to Levi Gentry and first marriage to James Sutton ...in one of the census she is living with Levi Gentry along with some of the Sutton Children..in the homes was Martah A Lee married to Levi Gentry both his parents listed as from SC he was age 70 she was 49 with parents born in Tn...children living with them were James Sutton a grandson age 15 born in Mo and Aggie Sutton grandaughter 25 born Mo and Marth M Sutton grand-daughter 7 born in Mo 2---In the next few households there was a Johnathan Gentry and wife Martha and another shows William Dees age 25 ( wonder if this one is a Lee instead of Dee) 3--The Children of Martha Lee Sutton were Wiliam 1845 Mary Polly 1846 Aggie 1848 Mevina 1849 Louis 1852 4--Mary Polly d/o Martha and James died in 1882 Iron Co Mo her child James Walter Sutton born 1865 Mo married a Tryphenia Leach ( children are Saphonia , Lillie, James, Roy , Leo) her child Lewis Patrick died April 1943 in Ok married Ammetha Carr born 1874 Tx they married ind Ark and had 12 children 5--Martha death record states she died in Ky 6--In 1850 census of Wayne CO Mo James is age 66 and Martha 7--In 1840 showed James Sutton living alone with two males 20-25 8--Martha Died Jan 24 1918 9-There was a ELijah Underwood whose will was probated 1813 Knox Co these descendants went on to Mo 10--The Lee family of Knox Co were located in Seven Island James Sutton had two sons by another marriage named Sylavanie married Malvina Catron she was born in Mo 1822 (children were Margaret, Manerva, Euphann? Sarah J ,, Mary j, George Washington, Alfred , Jane)
