    3. Hi Cousins, I have run across some names in the Ancestry 1920 index while looking for my Gentry kin, and I am amazed at how they got those names from Gentry! I was looking for William A. Gentry in Missouri tonight. It didn't list any Gentry in the index. So, I changed the search to looking for anyone born in Arkansas. I found a William A. Gantz. I took a look and sure enough, it was my William A. Gentry. The other night I found my mom's family. My grandpa was James Alfred Gentry. He went by the nickname Alf. Well, I found Alo Greeley in the index and checked that out and it was Alf Gentry!! I found his uncle in Livingston Co. Mo. listed as George Santry. His name was Green Gentry. So, don't rely on that index to find your kin. They could be listed an anything but Gentry! Have a nice weekend!
