New finds: I have not written to the list in quite sometime, but I have not new finds and clues. I have a John Gentry that had probate in Dayton, Ohio died 1807 and final 1812. His wife Hannah purchased 60 acres of land in Butler Township a mile north of the National Road in the Stillwater area. In the 1820 census she had 2 sons and 2 daughters living with her and then I have no record of her. Alot of researchers have came to the conclusion that she had married a man by the name of Cox and had a son Absalom Cox, but I think her maiden name was Cox and the Absalom Cox was actually Absalom Cox Gentry as listed in the probate is Absalom Gentree as was others in that name as well and he was the son of John Gentry and Hannah COX Gentry. The other children are David Gentry, ( I have no record of ), Ephraim, Samual, all settled in Indiana in Madison County and Wayne County, married Foland sisters, John married Webb, Rebecca, ( I have no record of ), Margaret and Abgail, all settled in Madison County and married Foland brothers. Ephraim, Samual state they were born in TN and Margaret unknown and Abgail born in Ohio. All these children were born after 1790 and before 1805, and if anyone has ever heard of any of these families or any families that might have came from the same areas please give me some thoghts.
