While researching some of my ancestors in early Madison Co., KY deed indexes (both grantor and grantee) I found a LONG list of Gentry deeds indexed under G [of course]. If you suspect your Missouri ancestors--and those of states surrounding Kentucky--had Kentucky roots, I suggest you order the film through your local LDS center. The films are at the Family History Center, Salt Lake City. Those Gentrys who were in Madison Co., KY originally lived in and around Albemarle Co. and Louisa Co. and parent counties of those counties. No, dear friends, I do NOT reseach the Gentrys, although the daughter of my ancestor, Christopher Harris of Madison co., KY, married a Gentry. Her name was Jane. You are encouraged to do the research yourself. Then if you have to hire a genealogist in Salt Lake City to acquire the deeds (copies of the film) for you, then that is part of the cost of being a family detective! E.W.Wallace
