Can anyone please help me with the identification of a Dollie Gentry? Many years ago, she wrote a letter to my Mother, Sarah Annie (Mayville) Norman, d/o Earl MAYVILLE and Cynthia Belle VARVEL. The Mayville's and Varvel's were from henderson and Union Counties, KY, late 1800's/early 1900's. Earl and Cynthia married in Ky on 25 Feb 1901. This Dollie Gentry is related in some way to my Mother, and her Mother, Cynthia Belle (Varvel) Mayville. There's a Sam Gentry in the family, too. Jerri

Jerri, In 1930, Henderson Co., Ky., Croydon Dist. 22, I found a Webb R. Gentry and wife, Fie D. Gentry who had a daughter age 19 named Dollie. #15/15 Webb R. Gentry, 41, KyKyky, farmer Fie D., wife, 38, KyKyky Dollie, dau, 19, KyKyky Haywood, son, 17, Maggie Bell, dau, 14, Normi, dau, 08 I can't say that this is the Dollie Gentry you are looking for, but she' s the only one in Henderson Co. You'd probably need to find some marriage records to see if there is a connection between your family and the Gentrys.
