My father, Eldred Gentry, Sr., served in the Navy in WWI. He was an Aviation Machinist Mate, 1st Class, stationed at Pensacola, FL. He was orphaned at one year of age, but later learned his family was from Boonville, Warrick County, Indiana. There are also many Gentrys from a neighbouring county, Spencer County. I don't see many references to the Indiana Gentrys in the messages at this address. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any knowledge about them.
