I have had a lot of soldiers and sailors in my family. My grandson Patrick is serving right now in the navy. My youngest son served for 5 years in the navy. My husband was communications officer aboard the USS Spangler from 1953-1956. My uncle who raised me, his mother was a Gentry, served in the army engineer corp. He helped build the Burma Road in 1945-46. My husbands uncle served in the army during W.W.II. He was in the Intelligence end of it. He received the Metal of Merit for his efforts. My grandfather Warren and his brother were in the Civil War. And we had men serving in the Revolutionary War, the French and Indian War and the War of 1812. Thank you for letting me ramble.
