Jan 1864 John Gentry, was Private in Co. B, 10th Tenn Cal. Jan 11, 1865 in hospital. August 21, 1865 mustered out of service. August 27, 1865 died in Cumberland Hospital at Nashville, Tn. Record of Death and Interment also states he was buried August 27th 1865 in Grave #14343 City Cemetery, His residence before entering service was listed as Bridgeport, Hamilton Co. Tn Is the City Cemetery located at Bridgeport? Is there a 1860 census for Hamilton Co. Tn. on line? William Christopher Gentry became an ordained minister 1872 in Dekolb, AL. William Christopher Gentry married Sarah Jane Jackson in 1874, Ellis Co.
