Dec. ?, 1887 - A womans Christian Temperance Union was organized here last week instead of a Good Templars lodge. THe following are the officers: President Mrs. Rosalind Nesbitt; Vice President MRS. My mother's uncle, Thomas GENTRY, was last heard of at Mother's father's funeral, in 1928 in Jackson Co. AR. Her father was Elbert Marion, both he and Tom b MO. She knew he was married at the time, and had several children, and thought at one time, that he was supposed to have lived at El Dorado AR. I inquired there a few years ago, and could find no one who had ever heard of him. I looked in the Social Security Death Index, and found a Thomas GENTRY, born 23 Apr 1884, died Apr 1967 in Dickson, TN. Could this be him? Looking for info on John B. Gentry, the son of George Gentry and Betsy Browder. John B. died 2/24/1845. He married Letsy Mayfield who died in 1881 in Gibson Co. Tn.
