Linda, What City and State is this in? I too have had people tell me such stories. I would suggest that you go to the local Genealogy Society ask them for help, tell them your plight, and see if they have any record of the buried in their Archives or Library. I would go back to the Cemetery and show the evidence you have (if you already haven't done so) ask them if any grave sites have been removed. Is this a small cemetery or a large one? I have a friend that had the same trouble, back east, the Cemetery was not huge, and the staff was not willing to help her out. Most places are willing to help.
