I do not know if this is the right area or not! My name is Esther Dumas and I am in the process of trying to find the history of my husbands family. With adoptions and many lost documents we have only the following information; 1. Biological grandmother was Myrtle Sheppard a Cherokee Indian from Pennsylvania. 2. She at one point married a Louis Dumas from Quebec 3. From what we understand all her children were removed from her at or shortly after birth and at this point we are not sure how many children and descendants there were.
