Hello :) I was at a cemetery today and found a headstone that is written in German (?) Can anyone help me to translate this: Mathilda E. A geb. Matter (her name, and maybe geb means born, so this would be her maiden name??- Am wondering if MATTER translates to Martin) Gallin Von H Jonghans ( I am wondering if this is her husband's name or if it means something else.) Mathilda's married name is JUNKINS (so I assume that Jonghans translates to Junkins??) Now the really hard part: ~~~~~~~~~~ Aus des gallon arme forl und dem kreis der kmdor russ des todes strenges worl grunder ach wir sund os un boussl nichls ol solsl uns den vinhusl On another stone I found this: ich liege und schlufe gan mil frieden denn allein du herr hilfst mir dosz ich... sicher wohne I may have copied some of the words incorrectly, but it was hard to make out on the stones. I would appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks so much. Jayme B :) [email protected]
