    2. Dear Jean: You have his name and service unit, send to the National Archives for his military records. It will list where he died, and possibly where he was buried. The only other suggestion is to check local burial sites in and around German town Tennessee. You might check with the local historical society, they could better direct you to sites that were used to bury the dead during the war. If he died in a hospital, check with the historical society for the names of military hospitals in the area at that time. If he died of typhoid, he was probably buried immediately and near by.
