I'm behind on my e-mail and just read this November/December thread. There's a wonderful census program available as freeware: GACP, the Great American Census Program. It includes templates for 1790-1920 censuses. The only disadvantage is that it's a DOS program, last updated in 1996. Output goes to a text file and you have to figure out how to print it with your word processing software. The link to download GACP is at: http://www.users.ticnet.com/stevem/ Look in the "Files" section about half-way down the page for GACP220.ZIP. Just above the download link there's a link to "Text Files With Strange Characters." That will help you print the census output. Kathy
