Our local library has some older volumes with civil war burials -- obviously not complete, and somewhat difficult to interpret because there are so many common names. Some of the lists I have seen only have names without other information to help you determine if you have found the right person. You might try historical societies in the areas of interest to see what they have. I would try the areas in which the person lived before enlisting as frequently area histories summarize the people from their towns who died in the various wars. Margaret Scheffler
