Has anyone had the experience of being hypnotized in an attempt to remember things you've forgotten? 50 years ago my grandfather told me all he knew of his family history; how 2 brothers came from England, their names, where their ship landed, where they went when they split up after arriving in America. He told me how his father was in the Confederate Army and he met and married a Union Army nurse. That's all I remember because I didn't make a point of remembering any details, not being interested at that time. I know his parents names and little else. I loved my grandpa and I loved to hear him talk and tell me things. Little did I know that 50 years later I would try so hard to remember the things he said. I have been wondering if hypnotism could bring those memories back or does that happen just in the movies?
