It would be wonderful to find an index of Great grandpa arriving from Ireland but I don't think one exists...yet. Therefore....if a person were immigrating from Ireland....County Down...to the USA....is there a "likely" port he would have arrived at? This was about 1865 and he ended up in Pittsburgh.. If need be I can just start reading ship lists....do lists exist for that time period? Thanx Barbara....uprooting family trees in Sacramento.
