I just had to get a certified copy of my birth certificate to send in with my retirement papers. If I remember correctly I think you can get just a copy in Michigan. But then again I understand that in Michigan only that person or his or her mother can get any bieth certificate in Michigan. Maybe you should inquire at the state you want the certificates from. T.
