Being adopted, in searching for my birth mother, A friend of mine called the doctor that was on my original birth certificate. He was retired and his daughter went through her fathers records and found my birth mothers file. They told me some information in them. So some doctors keep their records. I was born in1956, so he has kept his records since then and it was just 2 years ago that they gave the information.
