A few days ago, I was visiting my parents and my mom and I went thru an old cedar chest. This is an old chest that was at her grandparents house. There were treasured items such as old letters, postcards, lace, souvineers in it. (My mother had put some of the items in it 30 years ago). Everything seemed to be in excellant shape. My question is: Is a cedar chest the best place to place paper items or cloth items? If not, how is the best way to preserve important papers? Thanks Debbie DJM1020@aol.com
