Hi.. Does anyone know what happens to the patient records of a private practice physician who suddenly dies?  This doctor died in the mid 1950's...in a small town.  If his practice was bought out by another doctor, what would he do with those records?  Is there a certain way the AMA requires these records to be handled? Thanks.......Mary
